Oakley's Story
Meet Oakley
Playful, cautious and curious OAKLEY is a handsome, gray and white tuxedo, young adult male cat who loves to play with springs, boink toys and wrestle with his cat friends. He will run up tall cat trees when he feels safe and playful and also needs low hiding spots for times when he feels anxious. A perfect home for him will have an active cat friend for him to rough house and play with, lots of vertical space and safe hiding cubbies. Oakley and his family were rescued from a dangerous industrial area of Springfield. Life has been scary for him and he has been making great progress on a journey of building trust and confidence. Oakley is suspicious of new places and things, but once he decides he is safe he will play for hours on end. When you win his confidence, he will rub on your legs whenever he passes, let you pick him up and even snuggle with you on the couch or in bed. You will need to be calm, quiet and patient to win over his timid heart. His trust will be well worth your investment and love.

Oakley has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Oakley in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
