Oakie's Story

When Oakie is picked up he immediately starts to purr and purr, then he will rub his little head against you. He’s a lover and will snuggle with you. Oakie meows at you to be picked up and he will wind himself around your legs rubbing on you.
He will help you with any chore, if you are cleaning walls or the floor, he is right by your side.

He loves to play with many different cat toys such as, the little spring toys, and he likes to jump up to catch the toy at the end of a wand toy that hangs down on a cord from the wand. His favorite toy is a whack-a-mole, the same as his litter mates, and of course Oakie likes to climb in open cardboard boxes, too.

Oakie loves to romp and play catch me if you can with his litter mates. He also gets along well with adult cats and loves attention from people. He likes to use a scratching post. Oakie is a bird watcher, he enjoys viewing them from a cat tree placed at a window.

Oakie is a sweetheart!

Oakie would love to be adopted with one of his litter mates. They would be twice the fun and twice the purr. It would be such enjoyment watching them play and you will have twice the love! And they can keep each other company when you are not home.

Won’t you consider adopting two sweet kittens?

Lucky Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Prospective adoptive parents fill out an application either at an adoption location or online. (Online is best because it gets e-mailed directly to Lucky Cat Rescue volunteers and is checked numerous times daily.) A Lucky Cat Rescue volunteer reviews the application, checks veterinarian references, personal references, etc. The volunteer contacts the prospective adopter to set up an interview. The prospective adopter completes an interview with a volunteer adoption counselor. If the adoption counselor approves the adopter, a Lucky Cat Rescue volunteer arranges a time for the adopter to meet the cat (if they have not already been acquainted). If the adopter and the cat are a good match, the adopter fills out the rest of the adoption paperwork and takes his or her new companion home.
