Novala's Story

Hi, I'm Novala! I'm a beautiful short haired dilute tortoiseshell girl born approximately 3/10/2025, and while I may be a little shy at first, underneath that cautious exterior is a very sweet young kitty just waiting to blossom in the right home. My story has had a few unexpected twists already. I originally came from Roswell, NM and was brought in as a pregnant mama-to-be. After some time, everyone realized I had actually reabsorbed my babies and never gave birth. Thankfully, I'm now spayed, healthy, and ready to focus on being cared for and loved myself.
New situations can make me a little nervous at first, so I appreciate patient people who understand that trust takes time. Once I feel safe, my sweet personality starts to shine through. The volunteers say I love gentle head and face pets, enjoy attention, and can be very calm and affectionate. I've even started asking for pets and leaning into affection once I get comfortable. I'm also a girl who appreciates the finer things in life, cozy hiding spots, soft beds, and tasty snacks definitely help win me over! Churu treats and chicken baby food have been especially convincing during my socialization time. Because I can be timid initially, I'd do best with a family willing to give me a calm environment and let me settle in at my own pace. Once I know I'm safe, I really do enjoy love and companionship. I'd likely do well with respectful teenagers, other cats or a calm respectful dog as long as proper slow introductions are followed using Wild Blue's introduction procedures.
I am ready to find a forever home where I can continue building confidence and finally relax into the happy life I deserve. If you have a gentle heart and patience for a shy girl, I think we could become something really special together. If so, please fill out an adoption application at www.wbcats.org/adopt. I'll be waiting with a happy heart!
