Noir's Story

Noir is a beautiful 1-year-old girl who has grown up right here at the shelter, and watching her blossom has been something special. ?? When she was younger, she was hesitant and unsure about people and wasn’t quite ready to believe that human hands could mean something good.

With patience, consistency, and plenty of gentle encouragement, Noir has come such a long way. These days, she’ll lean in for pets and even purr when she realizes she’s getting some love. She’s learned that people can be a source of comfort, and seeing that little bit of trust develop has been incredibly rewarding.

Now, after spending so much of her young life waiting, Noir is ready for the next chapter — a home where she can continue building her confidence and discover what it’s like to have a person all her own. She may need some patience as she adjusts, but she has already shown us that she is capable of so much more than she once believed.

If you’re willing to give a sweet girl the time and understanding she needs to shine, Noir could be the beautiful beginning you’ve been waiting for.

Our cat adoption fee is $110 and includes her spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, age-appropriate vaccinations, and preventatives. You can find our adoption questionnaire at agcshelter.org/adopt-1 or stop in to meet all of our adoptable pets Tuesday–Saturday from 1pm–4pm. No appointment required! Please check our Facebook page before visiting to make sure we do not have any unexpected closures.

All God's Creatures Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process is meant to reduce barriers to adoption. We have a simple questionnaire that does not determine if the adopter is "approved" or "denied" and then we have a conversation about their lifestyle, home environment, and what they are looking for in a pet. Adopters can meet our cats Tuesday through Saturday from 1 pm to 4 pm in our open-concept adoption space! Here, you can sit and spend time with our kitties in a relaxed environment to get to know each personality. While we currently don't have dogs in the building, we do have dogs in foster care. If you're interested in meeting one of them, please contact us to arrange a time with their foster family.
