Nimbus's Story
Hi there! My name is Nimbus and I'm a 4 year old Domestic Shorthair currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home!

Hi everyone, I'm Nimbus and I'm proof that you don't need a tail to be absolutely amazing. I'm a handsome cat with a big personality, a loving heart, and a story that's made him even more special. I enjoy spending time with people and am happiest when I'm involved in whatever you're doing. Whether it's supervising household chores, keeping you company while you work, or simply soaking up attention, I love being part of the action. I'm the kind of cat who wants to be your companion, not just your roommate. My most unique feature is my missing tail. At some point, I suffered an injury that never healed properly and it continued to cause discomfort, so the awesome veterinary team made the decision to amputate. The result? A much happier, more comfortable me! Now, I'm pain-free, feeling great, and ready to focus on the important things in life-making friends, collecting pets, and being adored by everyone I meet.

When it comes to other cats, I may need a little extra patience and understanding. In my previous home, I lived with another cat but wasn't really all that interested in becoming best friends. Unless food was involved, of course. I may do best as your one and only best friend, or with a patient adopter who is prepared to give him plenty of time and a slow, introduction process if another cat is already in the home. What I lack in tail, I more than make up for in character! If you're looking for a cat who will happily keep you company and remind you every day that being unique is something to celebrate, I'm ready to float right into your heart!

Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.

Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission. Hope to see you soon!
