Nico and Murray (bonded)

Meet Nico, a super, super soft gray and white kitten with glowing gold eyes. Nico and many other cats were born in a home where the elderly owner could no longer care for herself and was moved but left the cats behind. These cats were not fixed and began to have multiple litters. Neighbors tried to feed the cats but the situation became untenable and the house was uninhabitable. Some cats made their way to Second Chance, others a barn rescue program and there are others yet to be trapped.

Nico was lucky that he was found early enough that with a little patience, love, and a steady food source will become a wonderful companion able to trust humans. His confidence has increased by leaps and bounds. He welcomes and wants pets and will begin to purr when approached. He truly is one of the softest kitties ever! Nico has shown a playful side tussling and frolicking with another kitten, Murray.

Nico would do best with a single adopter, a couple, or a family with older respectful children. His little personality is beginning to blossom and to make him even more special he has a heart shaped fur spot directly in the middle of his chest. He oozes love.

We believe that kittens are happiest when they have another kitty to play with so Nico will need to be adopted with Murray. They have developed a bond and like to cuddle and play with each other.

For the safety of our kittens and for children, we do not adopt kittens under six months old to a home with children under the age of 6.

Nico has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Nico has an approximate birthdate of 04/11/2026. His adoption fee is $120.

If you are interested in meeting Nico or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, please go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.

Thank you!
