Nico

Nico has had a very full life at a young age! He was born to a litter of kittens living outdoors. All of his siblings sadly passed away (not related to illness; their previous caretaker said a wild animal had been attacking the kittens). He developed a severe infection of his left eye that was left untreated. This caused permanent damage and left him blind in his left eye. As if this wasn't enough for one kitty to endure, he then developed glaucoma in his blind eye. Nico underwent surgeery to remove his eye which was bulging and causing him pain. In the photo with the transparent cone on, Nico is 6 days out from his surgery; his eye is healing at an incredible rate!<br/><br/>Despite all the sadness in his past, Nico is a very loving little boy and since his surgery he has blossomed into a kitty that absolutely loves everything around him! Nico loves to play, eat and especially enjoys snuggles from his foster mom. We got to meet Nico's mom and dad and they were both exceptional cats! His mom is incredibly sweet and relaxed. His dad is a sensitive and sweet soul, much like Nico himself. <br/><br/>Nico has unique coloring, his tail appears to have some blue tones in it! Sometimes this marking changes as cats age, but either way he is sure to be a very handsome little fella. He just needs someone to take a chance on him and give him the love he needs to flourish. He deserves it!<br/><br/>Nico is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and has been dewormed. His eye is healing nicely and Nico doesn't realize that he looks like a very cute pirate...without the eye patch!<br/><br/>Kindred Spirits Rescue is a foster-based organization, meaning we do not have a central facility.
