Newton's Story

Hello! My name is Newton and I'm a bit stressed in the shelter environment. I can be very sweet, but it takes me quite a while to break out of my shell. I am very food motivated and I loved squeezable treats! I am also very playful - toys (especially wand toys) help me to be more confident and comfortable. Once I get to know you I'm a big talker! I love doing chitter meows as you talk to me softly. Unfortunately, I do have FIV - an immunodeficiency virus. I can't be with other kitties unless they also have FIV, meaning I cannot be an outdoor cat. If you're looking for a kitty to give a safe space to and have plenty of time, patience, and love - I would love to become your best friend!
