Newton's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Awww Newton!! This cute little guy quickly became a shelter favorite. He started out as a "hot mess express" but that just made us love him even more because he truly had the best attitude from day one. Full of love and gratitude. So grateful that one person didn't look away from his condition, that another didn't walk away from him but sat in the sun and heat trying to convince him that she was there to help, and the army of volunteers that have showered him with love and care ever since he arrived. (Please remember if you see an animal in need of help, DO something, don't expect that someone else will, you might be their only chance to live) How this cat survived this past winter without food or shelter is beyond understanding so we just say he was "supposed to be here" and just has a sheer will to survive. He was found starving, exceptionally underweight, dehydrated, and missing both ear tips most likely from significant frost bite. He has spent every day since just living! He loves toys, he loves affection, and he even seems to love ALL the other cats (and if they don't love him back he simply walks away). You cannot help but to love a cat like Newton.

**Please note: even though Newton's condition is improving every day he will still need some time to put on weight and his health to be monitored. His adopter will need to commit to his future health needs which will at least include wellness check ups and any determined future medical needs. This is an important consideration for any adopter and any cat but we like to post a reminder in cases where a cat's initial intake condition was more challenging.

All of our kitties have s/n completed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you'd like to meet any of our great cats/kittens please submit an online adoption application at littleorphans.org. Please give our Adoption Team time to process all the info. The more complete your application is, determines how quickly we are able to process your application. Please try to give your vets office (give prior authorization to release information to us), landlord, and references a heads up to expect our call.
