Found by a Good Samaritan in north Plainfield, sweet little Nero was rescued from a streets. The wonderful person who found him wanted to keep him, but Nero was terrified of their resident dog, and knowing that he was friendly and lovable, the family reached out to RRR in hopes of him finding a forever home,<br/><br/>Nero is completely litter box trained and is accident free! Impressive for such a young kitten, indeed. He is an active kitten who loves playing with springs, jingle balls, and pretty much anything that moves! However, Nero is timid and shy. He will not typically tune up to anyone to socialize - he will bashfully hide. Yet, if you pick him up for snuggles he is all purrs and will lay in your lap for hours. He loves snuggles and is cautious with children... and absolutely does not care for dogs. Nero could thrive as an only pet or may do well with time for introductions to older children and other cats.<br/><br/>Nero is total comfortable and affectionate once he feels safe and secure with his caregivers. Once he feels safe in a social situation, he will thoroughly enjoy snuggles and affection for long periods of time. When introduced to someone new, he will hide out at first to gauge if it is okay to let his guard down, but once he is comfortable, he will engage with the many cat toys available in foster room- the tunnel, cave, and roundabout toys. Playful and sweet, all rolled into one little bundle of joy!<br/><br/>Nero is UTD on vaccinations, but is not yet neutered due to his age. <span style="font-weight: 400;">The good news is that because we are a licensed, registered 501(c)3 rescue with the state of NJ, he is eligible to be neutered for just $20 with proof of adoption (adoption contract) through the NJ Low Cost Spay/Neuter Grant Program. It's super-easy, just present our contract at a participating vet and make the neuter appointment!
