Nemo's Story

Meet Nemo, the handsome orange boy who proves a little tilt just means extra charm! Once rescued in rough shape, Nemo has transformed into a total lovebug who adores people, playtime, and being the center of attention.

He welcomes affection from everyone he meets, offering walk-by body bumps and deep, rumbling purrs that fill the room. Nemo loves to play and needs daily playtime to keep him happy and relaxed. Especially with his favorite fluffy worm toy. After a good play session (and maybe some zoomies after dinner!), he’s content to curl up nearby, holding paws as he purrs himself to sleep.

Nemo’s adorable head tilt and “wonky” ear are souvenirs from surgery that treated a painful ear infection and inner ear polyp from his days outdoors. It doesn’t slow him down — he still hears you the moment your feet hit the floor!

Because of his strong enthusiasm for food (and his history of not knowing when the next meal would come), Nemo needs to be the only pet in the home and would do best with adults or teens who can keep mealtimes consistent and counters snack-free. He’d thrive with someone who’s home often — a semi- or fully-retired person would make his dreams come true.

After everything he’s been through, Nemo is ready for a cozy, stable home where he can relax, play, and be loved for the sweet, spirited cat he is.

It is important to note that Nemo is FIV+, which simply means his immune system is a bit weaker than average. With a loving home and regular vet care, FIV+ cats can live long, happy, completely normal lives.

Apply Directly at https://www.animalfriendsofct.org/adoption-application
