NEMIAH's Story

Hi! My name is Nemiah and I am available for adoption. I was brought in by a good samaritan on March 12, 2026 with my sibling Rorik. I was quite fearful so I quickly went to a foster home for some extra TLC. I was originally in foster with my brother, but he was ready to be adopted much sooner than I was. I am now in my second foster home where I have made huge strides. My foster says this about me, He can occasionally hiss at me as a warning, but he has not swiped. He weirdly likes to hang out in litter boxes, both our open one and the litter robot. I have been able to extricate him without much fuss. He continues to be great at getting his nails trimmed and brushing. I've been letting him free roam when I'm at home, including overnight. While my resident cat does not love having a guest and will occasionally hiss at him, they both coexist and generally leave each other alone. My pup has invited him to play many times. While he doesn't quite play yet, he doesn't mind her play barking, giving kisses, and even the occasional play nibble or boxing. Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home without younger children (fast moments and loud noises startle me). When I go to my new home it is important to be patient with me and allow me time to acclimate to my new environment at my own speed. It is best to keep me in a smaller, quiet room, with my food, bed, and litterbox until I am comfortable and confident enough to start exploring the rest of my home. I am a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend! I am currently in a foster home, please fill out a foster interest form for the chance to meet me! :)
