Neeko's Story

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at https://alleycatproject.org/adopt
Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder.

Meet Neeko, a cuddly biscuit making expert always asking for pets! He is approximately 4 years old.

This affectionate, gorgeous Siamese with a stubby tail loves to snuggle, make biscuits, and vocally demand for your attention and pets. He loves nothing more than curling up in your lap and soaking up all the pets and scratches he can get. His favorite things include Temptations treats and toys with feathers.

Neeko was found on the streets with a traumatic tail injury and had to undergo amputation. He has recovered incredibly well and is looking for a forever home!

Neeko is FIV positive. As such, his adoption fee will be reduced. Please consult with your vet about pairing with an existing cat, otherwise he could also be paired with another FIV+ cat or be an only cat. With regular vet checkups and indoor-only life, FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives. You can find more information about this diagnosis on fivcats.com (Also, note that FIV is unrelated to FeLV). The current research shows that you can safely have FIV+ and FIV- cats in the same home, as long as theres no serious fighting between them and that the FIV- cat is not carrying anything contagious. If youre considering this, please consult your vet about your specific situation. Otherwise, Neeko could also be paired with another FIV+ cat or be an only cat

What Neeko is looking for in a home:

- He can get nervous, so he needs a kind and patient guide to help he feel comfortable with new experiences.
- He will need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- He feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- He needs to live indoors only.
- He has no known history with other cats.
- He has no known history with dogs.
- He has no known history with children.

All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Alley Cat Project regular adoption fees are:

- $200 per cat or kitten
- $350 for pair of cats or kittens
- $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)
- Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care. Neeko qualifies for a reduced, flexible rate.
- Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts

Thank you for your interest in adopting Neeko! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt him by filling out this questionnaire: https://alleycatproject.org/adopt

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered.
