Nature's Story
Nature
Female DSH brown tabby
Estimated age: 2 years old

Nature is very sweet, she can be selective with other cats as she has a big personality and wants to be the center of attention. She may do okay with dogs, but definitely would make sure they know that she is mighty despite her size. She'd be best with older kids or kids that can read kitty body language as Nature will be sure to let you know if she doesn't want any more pets. She is quirky and playful. She will get her angst out by running on the wheel which is absolutely hilarious to watch. When staff had to put a collar on her for easy identification, she was very vocal with opinions and let her frustration out by immediately going to the wheel and running while taking some breaks to use the scratching post. She is spunky to say the least!

Nature was a stray in a SW Grand Rapids neighborhood. A kind person took her in and she had kittens. This person contacted us when Nature's FIRST litter was older and she couldn't find homes for them. We took them in, got them vet care and spay/neutered and adopted into homes. While at the home getting the first litter of kittens, we discovered Nature was nursing two week old kittens. When these kittens got old enough, the person again contacted us and asked us to take the remaining kittens and mom, Nature.

Location: If you'd like to meet her, she's currently in residence at the Happy Cat Cafe. Visit www.happycatgr.com for more information.

Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption.

If you are interested in adopting, fill out an application online at www.figandfriendspetrescue.org/adopt

📷 Professional photo credit: Jenna Rose Photography jennarosephotography.com
