Napoleon Dynamite (bonded siblings Tina & Kip Dynamite)

Hello there, friend! Thanks for stopping by!

At Hobbes Haven our mission is to help shape & support a better life for feral & stray cat colonies in our varying communities of the Columbia River Gorge.

We want to introduce you to Napoleon Dynamite (dont forget his bonded siblings Tina & Kip Dynamite)

Napoleon Dynamite is the tiny runt of his litter and was named Napoleon initially because even though he was the smallest, his personality and tenacity for life was larger than his tiny little body, giving him a Napoleon complex. This little guy came into Hobbes Haven almost anemic from his flea infestation and his left eye was cloudy, unsure if he had an infection or was blind. He received the attention and devotion he needed to spring into health and regained his footing and spark for life. Now months later, Napoleon is a fiery boy with a big thirst for an adventurous life! He was eager and easy to learn how to climb up on your shoulders, he would be an ideal travel kitten for a kitty backpack! Napoleon is a funny boy too, never too tired to play, even it is him chasing after his own tail, running around in circles or rolling around on the floor until he catches your attention for a belly rub. Another beautiful feature about Napoleon Dynamite and his Dynamite siblings, is that the three of these cuties have the exact same little round face and round eyes, they look like cookie cutter copies!

Napoleon Dynamite and his siblings were rescued from a trailer park in The Dalles, Oregon. Two young stray moms, around 4 months old, each had a very difficult time with their first litters. These young moms were lucky to find a porch to dig under and a broken roof to crawl into to birth their litters. When Hobbes Haven got the call about these kittens, there were over 12 kittens running around. By the time we were able to actually catch the kittens, we only walked away with 8 kittens, and one unfortunately passed during the rescue. The kittens we pulled from under the porch were covered in fleas, and the ones that we pulled from the roof were so jammed in there, that it was how one of the kittens passed unfortunately, by the time we were able to break the roof to get to them, the kitten was lifeless- an incredibly hard start to their lives. All of the kittens were covered in fleas, but the ones under the porch where we found Napoleon and his siblings, were almost anemic from the number of fleas on their tiny bodies.

Due to them being rescued together and tamed for domestication alongside one another, they have endured growth together that has bonded them. Our goal is for Napoleon Dynamite to be adopted his bonded siblings Tina & Kip Dynamite.

Currently we have an estimated guess that Napoleon Dynamite was born mid July . His adoption fee will cover:
- His neuter surgery: ensuring he will have a healthy future!
- x3 FVRCP vaccines- the full kitten series
- 1 year rabies vaccine
- x3-4 deworming treatments
- Flea bath & month-long flea protection
- Nail trims
- Microchip with a lifetime subscription
-----

We hope to find families that will keep in touch with Hobbes Haven and update us with pictures and videos of our rescued friends! Remember that many times we have been fostering these kittens for many months, and that is another reason you know Hobbes Haven is a good-hearted organization to support, because our goal is to find the RIGHT homes, NOT a home RIGHT NOW.
Here at Hobbes Haven we focus on supporting the health and well-being of feral and stray cat colonies via T-N-R-M (Trap- Neuter- Return- Monitor); if we encounter kittens or cats young enough or friendly enough to domesticate, we rescue them from those sites and work with them directly to get them healthy and ready for a second chance at life as a part of a family and a home. Our rescued cats and kittens are unique being that they were born as feral or stray cats, meaning it took more time and involvement to domesticate them may than others. When you support Hobbes Haven via your adoption and donations, you are helping a bigger ripple effect, because you are supporting existing feral cat colonies stop their cycle of suffering by getting all colony cats sterilized and vaccinated, but also offering a very rare second chance to a few lucky ones.
At Hobbes Haven, your adoption fee helps us cover this Cinder's first veterinary care at one of our collaborating veterinary clinics in the Columbia River Gorge.

Up to the point of adoption, Hobbes Haven has covered all expenses out of pocket- your donations help us cover these collective costs and truly make a difference!

------

Interested in adopting Napoleon Dynamite?
1. Email us via this link or at HobbesHaven@gmail.com- please allow 24-48 hours for a response.
2. Catch us at one of our upcoming Adoption Clinics held at our collaborating veterinary clinics- follow our socials to learn about the next ones coming up!
3. Make an appointment to meet us virtually and see these rescued kittens in a relaxed and comfortable state.

** Note: We are looking for the right families seeking a bonded pair of kittens- our preference for the benefit of the rescued kittens is for them to have a sibling to grow alongside with, this is for their acclimation to their new home and for their overall quality of life.*
