Nala's Story

Meet Nala!

Nala came into our care because she was not getting along with other cats in the home. This sensitive lady is 17 pounds of love and is looking for a calm, predictable home environment. Once she's comfortable, she will be quick to settle on or near you for your favorite shows or while you read your favorite books.

A preferred low-stress environment will include the ability to claim a favorite nap spot on the back of your couch, a private spot to hide if she's nervous about visitors, and a predictable schedule. A healthy routine for meals and play/exercise to work toward a healthier weight would be just what she is looking for. While she loves affection, like most cats she wants to set the tone. She is described as pretty vocal, so expect her to be chatty with you throughout the day to communicate her feelings and needs.

As she is overweight, she will appreciate all the little things you can do to help her move around comfortably, such as pet steps, non-slip surfaces, and a low-sided litter box, while she works on her weight loss. She will also love some daily playtime to help keep her mind sharp and encourage some healthy movement and weight loss. Additionally, easy and convenient access to her litter box, possibly adding a second litter box, and keeping good litter box hygiene will be high on her list of requests.

Cats: Nala is looking for a home without other cats.
Dogs: Nala is looking for a home without dogs.
Children: Nala has previously done well living with older, respectful children.

Visit our Adoption Center to learn more about meeting your potential new best friend!
