I'm a Torbico beauty with the prettiest mix of tortie and calico colors, plus my fancy white-tipped toes (they're basically royalty socks). I may look regal, but I'm also very sweet in my own way. I'm a TNR rescue who loves to make biscuits, especially when I'm happy and comfortable, and my purr motor starts up pretty easily once you earn my trust. If you walk by, don't be surprised if I come right up to the front of the catio asking for pets-I know what I want, and sometimes that's you. I'm affectionate, but I do appreciate having my boundaries respected. I'm best with someone who understands cat body language and lets me set the pace. Think "lioness energy". Community Animal Rescue Effort - C.A.R.E.'s Adoption Policy

To start the process of meeting our adoptable pets, please fill out an online questionnaire by using the Adoption Application link: Cats: https://carenorthshore.org/cat-adoption-survey Dogs: https://carenorthshore.org/dog-adoption-survey All adoptions and visits are by appointment only. If you see a cat or dog on our website that you are interested in, please fill out our cat adoption survey or dog adoption survey and a C.A.R.E. adoption counselor will contact you to answer any of your questions and to set up a meet and greet with the pet. Adopters must: Be 18 years or older Have valid ID with current address or ID & proof of current address Live in the Chicagoland area Participate in the adoption counseling process Adoption Fees Dogs: $325 Puppies (6 months and under): $375 Senior Dogs: $125 (dogs 7 years and older) Cats and kittens: $150 Two cats or kittens (bonded pair price): $200 Senior cats: $75 (10 and older) An additional deposit for unneutered or unspayed animal is collected until proof of alteration can be provided. Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
