Nadia's Story

Nadia, and her brother Nigel, came from a home with far too many cats-but you'd never guess it by how loving they both are.

While Nigel settled into foster life pretty quickly, it took Nadia a little more time to feel comfortable. Now? She's everywhere! Curious, affectionate, and always part of the action.

Nadia is a petite, beautiful gray girl with the softest fur and striking yellow eyes. She's also quite the talker-especially when Nigel isn't nearby. It's like she's calling out, "Where are you?"

She absolutely loves pets and scratches, and she's got a funny little habit of sneaking cut-up chicken from the dogs' plates when she gets the chance.

Nadia and Nigel currently live peacefully with 4 dogs and 4 other cats, showing just how well they adjust to a busy home. These two are incredibly bonded, and we would love to see them adopted together so they can continue to thrive side by side.

If you're looking for a pair of sweet, playful, and loving companions, Nadia and Nigel might be your perfect match.

Save Monroe Strays's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in adopting from us! We are an all volunteer, 501c3 animal rescue in southeast Michigan. Our mission is to place all of our animals in loving, permanent homes. You are not purchasing a pet from us; you are adopting a living, breathing, creature that deserves safety, love and care. Your answers on the application are assurance to us that the animals we care for are going to good, permanent homes. All of the information on the application is confidential. Feline adoption fees - $125 for kittens under 8 months, $100 if over 8 months, and $60 if over 9 years old. Canine adoption fees - $350 for puppies under 1 year, $300 if over 1 year, and $200 if over 7 years old. Foster-to-adopt and Adoption fees are non-refundable. We do not use a first-come, first-serve process when adopting out our animals. Instead, we focus on best fit for each individual animal. The process is intended to ensure a long-term successful adoption for both the family and pet. Dogs can live 10-15 years, and cats can live 15-20 years, so please make sure your lifestyle allows the time, patience, and ability to cover expenses your new pet will need over the years. Will you be travelling frequently, moving soon, or having children? Responsible pet ownership includes as-needed and routine veterinary care, quality food, preventatives, and other supplies. You must be at least 21 years old to adopt. All of our adoptable animals have had a complete veterinarian checkup. Our dogs and puppies are heartworm tested. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, and have received age-appropriate vaccines before going to their forever homes.
