NACHO's Story

My name is NACHO and I currently live with my volunteer foster mom and several other fosters.

My siblings and I were born on an elderly couples farm to a feral mom. A neighbor stepped in to help the elderly couple with my mom and I and eventually reached out to the local rescue, Hiawatha Animal Humane Society.

All of us kittens were feral and scared to death. I just took me longer than the rest to become more social.

I like to snuggle with my foster mom, but only at night. She's less scary when she's lying down and relaxing. I have a thick, soft coat that she likes to pet and I do enjoy when I'm petted and brushed, so it is a win-win for both of us.

My foster mom always gets a kick out of me because I can't help but do a body bump to my fellow fosters as we travel side by side. I believe I told you I'm very friendly.

Like most orange cats I am a male and have the typical curious, friendly and laid back personalities so I believe I will fit in well in just about any type of home, I just need some patience while I check things out in my forever loving home.

Since us foster kitties are quite used to happily interacting with other cats, if you perhaps already have a cat looking for a buddy, or if you just think I might fit in at your house, our foster mom will be happy to answer questions and make an appointment for you to meet me.

To start my adoption process, call my foster mom Julie at 507-259-5958.

My foster mom is so sure that I will be an asset to your home that her doors are always open to return me if my adoption doesn’t work out!. If it's within a reasonable time, my adoption fee will be returned.

I DO have a tortie girlfriend named Mittens. You can adopt both for the price of one. Though I sometimes am a bit shy, MITTENS is a regular “lap lander”

My adoption fee is $125.

PLEASE NOTE: The HAHS adoption contract does not allow for declawing of any cats adopted from their organization.
