Myrtle's Story
Myrtle (AKA "Mert") is a 4 to 5 year old, Domestic Short Hair. She was originally brought to the shelter after being found as a stray in December 2024. She was returned in February 2025. Myrtle is spayed, updated on her vaccinations, flea treated, dewormed, FIV tested negative, and microchipped.

This lovely little lady is a bit of a couch potato. She's much prefer curling up on someone's lap for a quick little cat nap than play. Myrtle is also very much a fan of being brushed.

While Myrtle very much loves people of all ages, she isn't such a fan of other cats and would do best in a home without any dogs. She is housetrained.

If you are interested in adopting Myrtle, please fill out an adoption application using our website (echumanesociety.org) and a member of staff will be in touch with you as soon as possible. You are also more than welcome to stop in anytime during our business hours and meet Myrtle in person! Feel free to call the shelter at (814) 834-3247 if you have any questions.
