Murphy & Charlie (Bonded Pair)

MURPHY<br/><br/>Murphy is a sweet, young kitty with a beautifully sleek and soft black coat! He loves human attention and will greet his foster parents at the door when they return home. Thankfully, though, he does not seem to be a door dasher or escape artist! Murphy will start purring as soon as his foster parents start talking to him or petting him. He is very tolerant of being picked up, held, and carried. <br/><br/>Murphy also enjoys feline companionship. He cuddles with the other foster cats in his home, plays with the resident cats, and respects a hissy and swatty queen of the household. Murphy is happy to spend his time sitting in a sunny window watching the birds and squirrels outside. He also enjoys chasing wand toys and kicking around ball toys--he will even play "fetch" and carefully collect his favorite toys in a pile. Murphy is a great mix of curious but independent--he is able to entertain himself with enrichment items.<br/><br/>When Murphy is ready to relax, he appreciates a soft, fluffy bed, but can also be found curled up on the carpet in the middle of the room. Murphy seems to enjoy being around his foster parents and will find a comfortable place near them to rest. He is slowly learning that foreign noises like the coffee grinder and hair dryer are not scary! Murphy has perfect litter box manners and is tolerant of nail trims. He is the first to the food bowl at meal time, but is appropriate to graze throughout the day.<br/><br/>Murphy has bonded with another young, beautiful black panther in his foster home named Charlie. Charlie wins the award for "Most Impressive Progress!" Upon arrival in his foster home, Charlie was very scared and skittish, and he would communicate his fear by hissing and swatting. While Charlie is still initially quite shy and timid with people, he is gaining confidence every day! His curiosity is evident in his sweet, wide-eyed expression and his slow approach to sniff an outreached hand of his foster parents.<br/><br/>Charlie is very food motivated! He loves treats and will even eat them out of his foster parents hands now! Charlie gets very excited around meal times, but is still appropriate to graze eat. He has perfect litter box manners. Charlie has not been door dashing or attempting to escape his living space. <br/><br/>Charlie feels most comfortable watching, following, and imitating his foster siblings--he can often be found cuddling with them! He also enjoys laying at the top of the cat tree and observing the goings-on out the window. He is starting to show interest in batting around wand toys and exploring other enrichment items. <br/><br/>Charlie will likely be slow to warm up to his forever family. He will need a loving, patient home where he can continue to blossom. It's clear that Charlie will be a sweet, loyal companion if given time to feel safe and secure. He has totally won over his foster parents who so deeply appreciate his reserved but sensitive nature.<br/><br/>Charlie has bonded in his foster home with an outgoing, social butterfly kitty named Murphy.
