Mule's Story

Meet Mule!

Mule was trapped as a stray after living in a cat colony in Hastings, and she’s still learning that people can be gentle and safe. At approx. 1 year old (as of November 20245), she’s a very nervous girl at first, but with slow, patient interactions, she’ll begin to accept pets and show her soft, cautious affection. She just needs someone willing to meet her where she is and let her grow at her own pace.

A home with another friendly cat would be ideal — she finds comfort in feline companionship and tends to relax more when she has another kitty to follow. Mule is tidy in the litter box, loves a comfy hideaway bed, and can often be found perched on the highest level of the cat tower, quietly watching the world go by outside the window. She also has a playful side and enjoys darting through toy tunnels when she feels safe.

Mule may take time to open up, but she has a gentle spirit and so much potential. With patience, understanding, and a calm home (plus a feline friend!), she’ll slowly blossom into a wonderful companion.

--
Mule has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Mule has been spayed and microchipped as part of the adoption fee.

All cats have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
