He loves attention and just the right amount of pets, happily letting you know when its time to pivot to perhaps playtime or a delicious treat. He appreciates the presence of catnip, hunting fun toys, and on his off time hagning in the window watching the birds.<br/><br/>Mufasa would do best in a calm, quiet home with patient adopters who will give him the space and time he needs to decompress, build confidence, and gradually learn to trust. Because sometimes pets can go from pawsome to too much for Mufasa, a home that can pick up on his lion cues and without young children would suit him best. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. <br/><br/>About Ten Lives:<br/><br/>Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. <br/><br/>Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! <br/><br/>All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
