Ms. Sweetie Venus's Story

Meet Venus – Your Future Feline Companion

Hi there, my name is Venus, and I was born on February 15, 2024. I’m a petite, long-haired domestic cat with a big personality wrapped in a soft, fluffy package.

I absolutely love to play! If a fly dares to sneak into your home, don’t worry—I’ll be on patrol to take care of that intruder right away. Hunting and pouncing are my specialties. I grew up around dogs of all sizes, so I know how to share my space and get along with pups.

I am fully vaccinated, spayed, house trained, and ready for adoption. I am moving to my new foster home in Ridgefield, WA by end of August and can travel to Canada to live with the right family—my forever family. My adoption fee is $300 USD.

If you think we’re meant for each other, please click the link below (or copy and paste it into a new tab) to submit your application:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1rsNaERKw4elWyeIT8t3nVjhjqFyvUOSeuTQntM_BTuc/edit

Here is my story:
I used to have my very own outdoor catio, so I’m comfortable with both indoor and outdoor life. My foster mom rotates us around different setups so that we get used to all kinds of environments. Lately, I’ve been in what she calls “apartment setting training.” I don’t really know what that means, but I think it has something to do with me getting really good at being an indoor cat. ?

One of my favorite things here is climbing! I love the cat tree, ramps, and even the shelves on the wall that let me practice my balance. And the toys—oh my whiskers! Somehow they come alive when my foster mom touches them. I’m still trying to figure out how she does that.

When I’m not playing, I love to chat. If my siblings and foster mates are off doing their own thing, I’ll wander over to talk to my foster mom. She always smiles and chats back with me—it makes me feel so special.

I’ll admit, I can be a little shy when I meet strangers. But come on, you’d be a stranger to me at first too, right? ? Give me a little time and patience, and you’ll see my affectionate and talkative side shine through.

So… if you’d like a loyal companion who can chase away pesky bugs, chat with you when you’re lonely, and curl up next to you on gloomy days, I’m your girl. If you want a beautiful, playful, and loving kitty who will give you unconditional love, look no further—my name is Venus, and I’m ready for my forever home.

Nowruz Animal Rescue Group's Adoption Policy
Our Foster-to-Adopt Process At Nowruz Animal Rescue Group, we follow a foster-to-adopt process to ensure that each pet and family are a perfect match for one another. This approach allows both the dog and the adoptive family to adjust and bond before making a lifelong commitment. Step 1: Application Once a pet is listed for adoption, interested families are invited to fill out an online application form. This form includes: Three personal references The name of the veterinarian who will care for the pet Step 2: Application Review & Phone Chat After reviewing the application, we contact strong candidates for a phone interview. This gives us a chance to get to know the family better and answer any initial questions. Step 3: Home Check If the phone conversation goes well, we arrange a home check to ensure the living environment is safe and suitable for the specific pet. Step 4: Meet & Greet Next, we schedule a meet and greet with the dog and the family—either at the home or a secure, neutral location. One or two meetings may be arranged so everyone, especially the pet, has time to feel comfortable. During this time, we also complete reference checks. Step 5: Foster-to-Adopt Trial If the family decides to move forward, the dog begins a foster-to-adopt trial period. We deliver the pet to their new home along with essentials such as: Collar and leash Food and treats Favorite toys We encourage families to stay in touch throughout the transition. If you need support or guidance, we are just a phone call away.
