Mr. Johnson's Story

Hi, I'm Mr. Johnson, also known as Mr. J! I'm the sweetest boy you'll ever meet... I love to give kisses and headbutts. I'm a special guy with some extra needs — I came to the SPCA because I all of a sudden stopped being able to urinate! My previous family could not get me help at that time, so they did the right thing and found someone who could! If you didn't know, male cats sometimes can get a urinary blockage, and it can be life-threatening very fast! Thankfully, my friends at the SPCA got me taken care of, and now I'm looking for my new family. My new family will need to be able to keep me on a urinary care diet for the rest of my life. This keeps me safe from having another blockage! I am supposed to eat more wet food than dry to keep me hydrated and keep my bladder healthy. Other than that, I'm just a normal, happy guy! I love everything and everybody. Naps in the sun, playing with my favorite toys, you name it, and I'm there. So what do you say? Best friends?

Once you’ve found a pet that strikes your fancy and you’ve spent some one-on-one time with him or her to see if you hit it off, we’ll ask you to fill out an application form (see links below). Our staff will go over it with you to make sure that you and your potential new pet are a good match. **Please note that during this COVID-19 outbreak, we are still taking adoption applications online or by mail. Unfortunately, we cannot schedule cat Meet-And-Greets at this time, meaning all cat adoptions are done "sight unseen" for now.**
