Mr. Brown's Story

Meet Mr. Brown, formerly Brownie the sweetest surprise this week. Mr. Brown was trapped in Alpine as part of a TNR effort of a local feral colony, and we expected to release him back to the outdoors. Once inside, however, Mr. Brown revealed his true self! It is clear that Mr. Brown must have belonged to someone once upon a time, as he is immediately affectionate and social with all people, truly a friend to everyone he meets. He really likes dogs!

Mr. Brown is something of a shadow; he loves to be where the humans are and quickly assumed the role of Office Assistant to his foster mom, attending meetings with her via Zoom and sticking by her side through the daily grind. They agreed together that Brownie was too informal for a business setting; hence, he adopted the more formal and professional moniker, Mr. Brown.

Call his name, and he actually comes running to see what you need done. As you can see in his video, he is also an expert biscuit-maker. We are not sure how he ended up on the streets, but this boy belongs inside among the humans.

Mr. Brown is FIV positive, but don't let that scare you. He is otherwise healthy, and with an indoor home and routine veterinary care, he can enjoy a long, happy life just like many other cats. The vet estimates he is about one year old.

If you're interested in adopting Mr. Brown so his story can have a happy ending, please fill out an application on our website (www.clawsadopt.org), as it will be processed quicker than emailing us just through Petfinder.

Adoption events are held at Donnas Pet Depot in Northvale, NJ every Saturday from 11-3.
