Hi, my name is Mr. Blue and I am a ruggedly handsome, easy-going, 3-year old gray cat. I'm told I have very expressive eyes. I've also got a gorgeous fluffy tail.<br/><br/>My favorite things in the world, in order, are:<br/>1. Food<br/>2. Getting brushed and petted<br/>3. Hanging out with my humans<br/>4. Food again<br/>5. My cat buddies<br/><br/>Sometimes I follow my humans around like a shadow - I just want to be near them! I don't ask for much, just extra snacks and petting.<br/><br/>I'm really good at keeping secrets, including my own. I may or may not be in the witness protection program... either way, I'm not telling anyone about my past. Let's just say that I was definitely a pet, then was outside for a while, and now I'm an indoor cat again.<br/><br/>Things I'm looking for in my new family:<br/>1. Must include humans. Ideally adults, but teens and older kids are fine, too. Little kids are not my thing.<br/>2. Must include another cat or two or three. I'm used to living in a colony and like to visit with my feline friends. (I still rub faces through the screen door with one of them!)<br/>3. People who will talk to me and brush me and pet me and pay attention to me when I tap your leg and meow or trill at you.<br/><br/>I will want to hangout near you, but not necessarily on your lap. I'm learning to enjoy being picked up, but it depends on who is holding me and what I get to see while in your arms. Be patient with me and I will probably come around.<br/><br/>I'm learning to play with toys - mostly balls. Playing comes in short spurts. I'd probably play more if I had cat friends inside to play with.<br/><br/>I also enjoy long naps and lazy afternoons lounging in the sun. I try to sneak outside sometimes, but I don't go far and it's easy to get me back into the house - just offer me a treat!<br/><br/>So, are we a match? Fill out an application to adopt me so my foster people can tell you more about how awesome I am!<br/><br/>--------<br/><br/>Our cat/kitten is spayed / neutered, current on vaccinations, on flea prevention and have been dewormed.<br/><br/>Our cat/kitten adoption fee is $175.00 each (cash or credit card).<br/><br/>HOW TO MEET: This sweetheart may be at the Livonia PetSmart on Saturdays from 11-3 (CHECK WITH US FIRST TO SEE IF HE WILL BE THERE). Come up and meet this cutie and/or other cats/kittens. The Livonia PetSmart is located at South East corner of Middlebelt and I-96 at 13150 Middlebelt Rd Livonia, MI 48150. It is located in the back of the Meijer and Costco Parking lot. Our pets are in the back-right hand side of the store past the grooming and vet clinic.<br/><br/>WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THE ANIMAL YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WILL BE AT THE ADOPTION EVENT. Please email us if there is a specific kitten/cat you would like to meet to be sure they will be at the adoption event. We ask that you DO NOT contact PetSmart about our animals. They are kind enough to provide space for our adoption events, but are not involved with our rescue work.<br/><br/>HOW TO APPLY: If you would like to apply for this cat or any of our other cats, please request an application by clicking the START YOUR INQUIRY button.<br/><br/>You can also go directly to our website at www.waganimalrescue.com to fill out an application.<br/><br/>You must be at least 21 years old to apply.<br/><br/><br/>IMPORTANT: An application must be filled out and approved before we will make special arrangements to meet a cat/kitten. WAG Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adoption fees provide some recuperation of costs associated with providing in-home and necessary veterinary care while the animal is in our program. The benefit of adopting from an organization that provides in-home foster care is that the animal’s behavior has been evaluated by their care providers in a natural living environment, rather than oftentimes unpleasant surroundings of a shelter. WAG foster care providers care for the animals as if they are their own, and learn to know the animal’s likes and dislikes, ability to co-exist with other animals, ability to tolerate children, and so forth. A volunteer will review your application and contact you ONLY if you are approved or if further clarification is required. We will make every attempt to contact approved applicants within 5 business days of application submission (M-F), but this will depend on the number of applications received. Please be patient while we processes your adoption applications. We want to be sure that the best match possible is made, so that the dog does not end up needing re-homing again. Please understand that by answering the questions does not guarantee the adoption of the pet, nor are you obligated to adopt the pet. WAG Animal Rescue adopts to homes that are best fits for our animals' needs, and not on a first-come, first-served basis. If you currently own a pet or have a history of pet ownership, you must provide a vet reference for your application to be processed. Preference is given to applications with prior animal experience and vet references. We are an all-volunteer organization, and regret that we do not have the resources to contact applicants that are not approved. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Approved applicants are based on best fit, not first submitted. WAG RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY APPLICANT, so please understand that it is within our discretion to make those decisions on behalf of our animals. Keep in mind that we depend 100% on volunteers, most of whom have full-time jobs, so we ask for your understanding as we do the best we can in the endless effort to find homes for these deserving animals! WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER, ALL OF OUR ANIMALS ARE IN ONE OF OUR VOLUNTEERS HOME. HOW TO MEET: Many WAG's animals are available for viewing and adoption every Saturday from 11 am-3 pm at the Livonia PetSmart, located at Middlebelt and I-96. OUR ADOPTION EVENTS ARE VERY BUSY so please keep that in mind if you intend to come. You should expect to spend some time there if you are sincerely interested in one of our animals (since we have limited manpower and many visitors to screen). WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THE ANIMAL YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WILL BE AT THE ADOPTION EVENT. We ask that you DO NOT contact PetSmart about our animals.
