Mother of Dragons's Story

Mother of Dragons is currently in foster care and ready for adoption via our virtual process!

Mother of Dragons, a seven-year-old female, just arrived and is still getting settled in, so we're just beginning to learn who they are. Right now, everything is new-new people, new sounds, new routines-and we're giving them time to relax, decompress, and show us their true personality at their own pace.

Here's what we know so far about her time in foster care: https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:9e0d0be9-93ef-4780-9d75-5a2cc0a4d855

She is a very gentle , playful , and happy girl. She is affectionate and loves to be pet and be by your side. She is a wonderful companion with a delightful personality. Her foster says, "She is very easygoing and adapts well to new people, and she's just so cute!! Mother of Dragons has relaxed, social personality. She likes being around people and exploring. She loves getting her neck and underarms scratched. Given her hefty size it's no surprise that she's interested in food and trots into the kitchen in hopes of food (she's on a limited diet). She's fully litter box trained; doesn't jump on counters or window sills. If we're on the couch she happily comes to sit beside us. She settled in quickly; she was & is a relaxed, low key cat. At first she ate very little, now she eats virtually all her wet food & some dry. She is happiest on the couch where she can keep an eye on everything that happens and be near people. She does like being petted around her face and shoulders. MoD has no bad habits: no scratching, jumping; crying; she uses the litter box. She tolerates a dog but keeps her distance." She is social and relaxed. She likes to be around people. Her foster also says "She runs like the wind down the length of my apartment chasing the laser pointer."

She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had preventative treatments to ensure she is ready for her next steps.

Submit an adoption survey from above and our team will reach out via phone or email (check spam) to schedule a counseling call. For any additional questions, please contact fosternyc@bestfriends.org.

Please remember, pets cannot be held or reserved.
