Moth's Story

Hi, I'm Moth!
I'm a little black kitten with soft paws, bright curious eyes, and a love for all things that move, flutter, and sparkle. I can't help it-I'm drawn to the world around me, always ready to explore, pounce, and discover what's just around the corner.

I've got a playful side that shows up in quick zoomies and toy-chasing missions, but I also have a softer side too. I love warm spots, gentle pets, and being close to someone who makes me feel safe and loved.

I'm looking for a loving home where I can grow, learn, and share all my tiny adventures with you. I promise soft purrs, little head boops, and a whole lot of love wrapped in a tiny black package.

If you're looking for a small companion with a curious heart and endless charm, I might just be your Moth!

I'm currently in a foster home while looking for my loving home. Best Friends Animal Society - Houston's Adoption Policy
At Best Friends, we pride ourselves on our open adoptions policy. Open adoptions means that anyone 18 years of age or older is able to adopt from us on a first come, first served basis. What this means for virtual adoptions is that the first person who submits an appointment request to meet an animal gets to virtually meet the pet and decide if they want to move forward with adoption. During the meet & greet, the adopter asks questions about the pet, the foster showcases the amazing qualities of their foster pet, and the adoption team provides medical information, advises on the adoption process, and coordinates next steps. If the adopter decides not to move forward, we move on to the next meeting request. The meeting requests are time/date stamped to ensure fairness. Our adoption fees are as follows: $100 for dogs six months and older •$150 for puppies under six months old •$50 for adult cats six months old and older •$100 for kittens under six months
