Mookie's Story

Meet Mookie! This striking senior gentleman was found wandering the streets in Marysville back in March. He does have a microchip, but despite efforts to contact his registered owner, no one ever came forward for him, so here he is! Now, at 14 years young, Mookie is hoping for a new chapter. And honestly? We really do not want this special boy to be overlooked simply because he's a senior. Just LOOK at him. Those enormous blue eyes. That long cream-colored coat with soft smoky gray splashes. He's absolutely stunning... and even sweeter than he is handsome. Mookie is the kind of cat who dreams of sunny windowsills, cozy naps, gentle companionship, and a peaceful loving home where he can simply enjoy life. Now, we do want to be transparent: Mookie has early-stage kidney disease, which is very common in older cats. The good news is he is currently doing well and does not require medication or a special prescription diet at this time. With routine monitoring, a healthy diet, supportive care, and a low-stress environment, many cats with kidney disease continue to live happy, comfortable lives for years. Senior cats have so much love left to give. They ask for less chaos, more cuddles, and a soft place to land. And Mookie? He deserves that chance. Mookie is available as either foster-to-adopt or adoption.
