Mookie's Story

Happy Fall, ya’ll! And what better way to celebrate than by adopting orange tabby boy Mookie! He is between 1-2 years of age and arrived at the shelter as a stray someone trapped along with his brother Dodger. Mookie has been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated so he’s all ready to move from the shelter into his forever home. He is a bit timid, but with a gentle approach, he is learning that being petted can feel really good! He would do best in an adult-only home or one with older kids. He shows interest in the other cats in the adoptables room, so he may enjoy having a feline friend at home. If interested in adopting, you can meet Mookie Tuesday-Friday 12-3 or Saturday 12-5.

Franklin Township Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoption fee for dogs, cats, kittens, and rabbits is $80 per animal. Cats, dogs, rabbits and kittens are spayed/neutered. Cats, dogs, and kittens are microchipped, and up-to-date on all age-appropriate shots prior to adoption. Cats have also been tested for feline leukemia and FIV and dogs have been tested for heartworm. An adoption application may be found at the link below. Applications can be faxed to the Animal Shelter at 732-873-8902 or e-mailed to Brian.Hartman@FranklinNJ.Gov. Applications may also be dropped off in person during our open hours Tuesday-Friday 12pm-3pm Saturday 12-6pm.
