Molly's Story

Meet Molly, a gorgeous 2-year-old girl with bunny-soft fur. Once Molly trusts you, she's incredibly affectionate and loves attention. She'll curl up at your feet, settle into your lap, or even stand up and place her paws on your knees to politely (or not-so-politely!) demand pets. She also enjoys sprawling across her foster moms desk for dedicated petting sessions during worktime and can even be picked up and cuddled for short periods.

She's also playful and enjoys wand toys, bell balls, and rattle mice. Watching her chase a toy is a great reminder that she's still a young cat with plenty of kitten spirit left in her!

Molly is still a sensitive girl and can be easily startled. When she's nervous, she'll retreat to her safe space to regroup. Because of this, she's happiest when she's allowed to approach people on her own terms. Her ideal adopter will be patient, calm, and willing to sit quietly while she builds confidence and trust.

One thing that makes Molly truly special: she absolutely loves other cats. In fact, a friendly resident cat is a must for her new home! Having a confident feline friend helps Molly feel secure and adjust more quickly to new surroundings. We'd especially love for her to join a home with a cat who has a proven history of welcoming newcomers. (If youre in the market for a pair, Molly is sharing a foster room with Murray and Patrick, who are also up for adoption. She is particularly good friends with Murray, who has equally soft fur, so if youre looking for a friend for her, Murray is also available!)

Molly has made tremendous progress, but adopters should know that when she feels cornered or unsafe, she may occasionally reinforce her boundaries. This behavior has improved dramatically and is rarely seen now, but it may resurface temporarily during the stress of moving to a new home. She needs someone who understands that trust takes time and who can give her the patience she deserves.

Because of her sensitive nature, we think Molly would do best in a home with only teens and adults and without dogs. However, Molly is still young. Shes already come a long way, and we expect her to become even more confident with time!

And one final note: Molly's beautiful coat comes with a lot of fluff! She will need regular brushing to keep her looking and feeling her best.

Molly is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on all vaccinations. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle companion and have a friendly feline who would love a new best friend, Molly may be the perfect addition to your family!

Note: All of our cats are in foster homes in the Pittsburgh area, so the first step in adopting from us is to fill out an application here:
http://bit.ly/3VDJfhm
