Mochi

Mochi is a sweet girl that loves cuddles once she is comfortable with you. She enjoys playing kitten games with her siblings. She needs to be adopted with one of her litter mates unless the home has a young cat that she could play with.<br/><br/><br/>About our cat rescue and adoptable cats:<br/><br/>SCRATCH cat rescue is primarily focused on Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Our goal is for community cats to be trapped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, ear tipped, treated for fleas and internal parasites and then returned to the only home they have ever known. Occasionally there will be a friendly cat perhaps abandoned or displaced for some reason. These cats are often checked for a microchip, assessed for adoptability and adopted to indoor homes after vetting. When it is kitten season, we work with shelters to make sure the kittens will have a chance. Usually kittens 8 weeks or less can be socialized and adopted out. Foster space within our rescue is very limited as we do not have time or space to foster many kittens and still focus on our mission. The kittens we do foster come from one of our many TNR projects and are often quite spicy and in poor health. They are frightened and untrusting and require weeks and sometimes months of socializing. By the time we feel they are ready for a new home we have exposed them to as many experiences as possible. More importantly we know them better than anyone and know what kind of home they will thrive in. Please understand where we are coming from when we are choosing a home for our kittens. We do not adopt out on a first come first served basis. Processing applications can be a long process especially if the cat is a desirable breed and has many applications. If your application is not accepted it is not because you are not a good pet owner or your home is not acceptable. There are many factors that go into deciding what is the best fit for each cat and our main focus is and always will be what is best for the cat.
