Moana's Story

Moana is ready for her forever home, and it’s impossible not to imagine the joy she’s going to bring into someone’s life. She’s the kind of cat who will meet you at the door, asking for attention, soaking up every rub and moment of love you’re willing to give. At night, she’ll curl up right beside you, quiet, content, and just happy to be near her person. She has such a playful spirit. Give her a box and she’s instantly entertained. Bring out a wand toy or a laser, and you’ll see her light up—pouncing, chasing, and showing off her silly, energetic side. And if you have treats like lickables, you’ll quickly become her favorite human. Moana has also done something really special; she’s learned to coexist and even play with other cats in the home. She’s grown so much, becoming more confident and open to connection. That said, she can still be a little sensitive to loud noises, so a calmer environment where she feels safe will help her truly thrive. Her future family is going to get the best of both worlds: a playful, curious companion and a gentle, affectionate soul who just wants to be close. Watching her step into that next chapter will be bittersweet, but mostly it will be full of excitement because Moana deserves a home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished every single day.<br/>https://www.familiarhearts.org/adoptable-pets

Familiar Hearts Animal Society's Adoption Policy
We always have potential adopters fill out our adoption application first so we can first vet them and make sure we approve of them as adopters before then inviting them to meet the animal(s) they are interested in. We feel this not only saves time for our fosters, it helps us get to know the applicant better and better be able to match them with the potential pet that is best for them. We always make sure everyone has a lot of time to deeply consider the adoption before finalizing it. The adoption is considered finalized after the adoption contract is reviewed and signed and the fee is paid. We then tranfer all the vet records and microchip information to the new family. We also offer behavioral support before and after adoption and one free training session with our dog trainer for dog adopters.
