Mitzi, also known as mama, was an owner surrender from a cat colony. <br/>She is extremely friendly and clingy once she earns your trust and can be great with dogs when given the time and patience needed to get comfortable with them. <br/>She is estimated to be between 3-5 years old with beautiful, unique tabby markings. <br/>She is looking for a family to give her a nice comfy bed to rest and all the attention she wants.

Prince Edward County Animal Control's Adoption Policy

Our adoption process starts out by filling out our adoption application. Once received, we will review and either approve or deny the application. Once approved, we will arrange a time to meet the pets that are available for adoption, as adoptions are by appointment only. We do not pressure our potential adopters into adopting, because we want them to be comfortable with the animal they may adopt and want it to be the right fit for their family. Once all paperwork has been completed and the pet is ready to go home, the adopters have 30 days to have their new pet spayed or neutered. All meet and greets and adoptions are by appointment only by calling 434-223-7310. Adoption applications can be found at the shelter or on the Prince Edward County website. If you want to bring a pet with you to the meet and greet, the pet must be up to date on vaccinations.
