Our Mission
At Prince Edward County Animal Control, we strive to give the animals that end up in our care a second chance at life. Every animal is deserving of a loving and caring home where they are considered family.
Adoption Policy
Our adoption process starts out by filling out our adoption application. Once received, we will review and either approve or deny the application. Once approved, we will arrange a time to meet the pets that are available for adoption. We do not pressure our potential adopters into adopting, because we want them to be comfortable with the animal they may adopt and want it to be the right fit for their family. If a family finds the right animal for them to adopt, the animal will be microchipped with the adopter's contact information, along with the records of being dewormed, given flea and tick preventive, and any vet records applicable.
