Mittens's Story

If you are looking for the ultimate lap cat, Mittens is your guy! He loves nothing more than sitting on your lap and rubbing his face on yours. He bonded very quickly with his foster dad.

Mittens is very low maintenance and no longer gets into "kitten type shenanigans!" Mittens actually prefers to be the king of the castle with no other pets. (It's possible he may get along with another mellow adult cat.)

What he really wants in his life are people! He likes a calm, quiet home so no young children. Preferably, one or two adults and a warm lap would be Mitten's preference!

Adopters must live within 75 miles of Racine, WI. Adoption fee for one cat is $100.00, two for $150.00. This radius is in place due to ongoing medical care we provide post-adoption.

Most of our cats are in our office and you can come meet them. Please call or email to schedule an appointment 262-634-4571 hopesafehouse@gmail.com

Occasionally, cats are placed in private foster homes. For those, we look to have an approved application prior to sending someone to a private residence. If you are interested in adoption, please complete an application. Online applications are located on our website: www.hopesafehouse.org.

Upon approval of your application, we will contact you with the foster home phone number to arrange a meet and greet. All pets have a lifetime return policy.

Thank you for your interest!
