Missy's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.North Texas Cat Rescue P.O Box 1504 McKinney, TX 75070 214.454.9395 www.northtexascatrescue.com
She’s a gentle, sweet-natured girl with a quieter personality. She can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, her loving side really comes out. She enjoys affection on her own terms and will happily soak up attention while staying grounded—she’s not a fan of being picked up, but she absolutely loves pets and cuddles when she’s on the floor next to you.

She’s definitely more on the shy side, but that just makes earning her trust even more special. One of her favorite things is finding a warm, cozy spot to curl up in—especially a soft dog bed, which she’ll claim without hesitation if given the chance.

She is, at heart, a little princess—and not in a demanding way, but in the quiet, meaningful way she carries herself. There’s something gentle and intentional about her presence, like she knows her worth without needing to prove it. She seeks out comfort, warmth, and softness, and she gives that same energy back to the people she trusts. Her love isn’t loud or overwhelming—it’s soft, earned, and deeply genuine. Being close to her feels special, because she doesn’t give that part of herself to just anyone.

She gets along wonderfully with others, including dogs, other cats, and has even been around larger and more unique animals like ponies and chickens. She’s a calm, adaptable companion who just needs a little time to open up, and once she does, she’s incredibly affectionate and loyal.

Please contact NTCR AT 214-454-9395 should you have any concerns or questions. Please note: We appreciate all interest in our cats and kittens, but we are an all volunteer organization. Please be patient with regard to a call back. Should you need to surrender the cat you adopted from NTCR, please email us at surrenderNTCRcat@northtexascatrescue.com.
