Missy (Bonded with Pebbles)

Missy was rescued as a pregnant mama from a TNR (trap, neuter, return) project, along with her cat pal Pebbles, also pregnant! This expecting duo delivered their babies within 24 hours of being at the shelter. All the kittens were quickly adopted which allowed our Animal Caregivers to focus on socializing the mamas. Missy is still uncertain whether or not to fully trust people. She eats out of the Animal Caregivers’ hands and follows them around, but still doesn’t want to be pet. We are confident that she would learn to enjoy human attention if she were in a quiet home setting with consistent interaction. Until then, Missy has been enjoying all the comforts at ABC and lives with a small group of cats, including Pebbles.
