Mirette's Story

Mirette is a female Tabico (Tabby + Calico), and an active, curious and playful girl. She loves exploring and climbing in cat trees, and is often the first to explore a new toy. She was the tiniest kitten in the litter, but her tenacity exemplifies the tiny but mighty moniker. Mirette has the sweetest soft facial expression that draws you right in, and a cute little orange freckle on her right pinky toe that is uniquely her. Mirette plays well with both of her sisters but is often found in tandem with her sister Sarah. With an estimated DOB of 3/2/2026, Mirette is around three months old.

The Powerful Girls family is a litter of four stunning female kittens and their gorgeous calico mom, Sadie. Sadie is barely a kitten herself and at just over a year old, she runs and plays with her babies as if she's reclaiming lost time! The kittens are energetic and playful and absolutely adore one another. When one can't find a family member, she will softly chirp as if to say," I'm alone... where is everyone?" Calling out, "babies!" brings them all running for a happy reunion! They enjoy chasing and wrestling, kick toys, sparkle puff balls, ball in track toys, and of course, wand toys. A nice tall cat tree for climbing and scratching satisfies their joy in leaping and climbing, and after a long play session, they all curl up in a kitten heap for naps.

Mirette and Sarah are almost twins! We think they would love to go home together, although she would also do great with her stripey sister, Eloise or her mom, Sadie. While Mirette hasn't been exposed to dogs, we think she could adapt to a calm and cat friendly dog. She has not been exposed to young children, but we think that she would do well with respectful children who are well supported in their interactions with cats and kittens.

All kittens must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with another young cat with which he or she can play and socialize. The majority of no-kill rescues nationwide adhere to this policy. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions, rather it ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development.

For more information on this policy:
www.adoptapet.com/blog/how-to-cure-only-kitten-syndrome/

For more information and pictures, go to our website: http://www.ppahrescue.org/adoptable-pets/

To submit an adoption application online: http://www.ppahrescue.org/adoptapp/

If you cannot adopt, please share to help Mirette find a "furrever" home.

To make a donation via PayPal, USPS, or one of our current campaigns; to provide an item from our Amazon Wish List, or to sponsor an animal, please do so here: http://www.ppahrescue.org/donation/

All animals are already spayed/neutered, FIV/FeLV tested negative, micro-chipped, de-wormed and have all necessary shots. They are ready to go to a loving home. Adoption fee is $175.00 each.

If you have any questions, please email Admin@PPAHrescue.org.

Thank you.

Precious Pets Almost Home Association's Adoption Policy
Please help our homeless pets in need by adopting from Precious Pets Almost Home. All of our cats and dogs are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, de-wormed, flea-treated, up to date on vaccines and treated for ear mites. Cats are tested for FIV/Leukemia. Dogs are Heartworm tested. Our modest adoption fee is $175.00 for cats and $400.00 for dogs (unless otherwise noted). Some purebred cats or dogs may have a higher adoption fee. Please understand that the higher adoption fee for certain purebred animals allows us to rescue more animals and it is still much, much less than what you would pay a breeder or pet store! Adopter is contractually bound to return their adopted animal to PPAH if for any reason the adoption does not work out. We do not return adoption donations after 14 days. If animals are adopted together, they must be returned together. We do not adopt single kittens into homes with no other pets, namely cats. This policy is in the best interest of the cats in our care and is shared by many rescue groups nationwide. Applicant must demonstrate the ability and commitment to provide proper care, exercise and vetting for the lifetime of the pet. PPAH reserves the right to approve or decline any adoption applications that do not meet the organization's adoption criteria, as determined at its' sole discretion. PPAH is a foster-based non-profit rescue run solely by volunteers. The application process can take a few days with the verification of vetting, residency, and references. We appreciate your patience. For more on our policies visit our website www.ppahrescue.org/adoption-info/
