Mira's Story

Meet Mira!

At just 9 months old, Mira is a tiny force of nature looking for her new best friend! This hilarious, adventurous girl is always investigating something new. Curious, clever, and incredibly entertaining, she's guaranteed to keep you smiling every day.

Forget calling the exterminator. Mira is convinced that every bug is her personal responsibility! She's also appointed herself your official morning water quality inspector. Getting ready for work? Expect an audience as she splashes in the sink, dunks her head under the faucet, and bats at the streams of water. Fair warning: watching her sink sports might make you late because she's the best show in town!

Climbing is another one of Miras greatest passions. A 6-foot cat tree was only the beginning. In her foster homes catio, she climbed all the way to a rafter beam just to claim the highest possible spot for an afternoon nap. If there's a summit to conquer, Mira is up for the challenge!

She's feisty, playful, confident, and full of affection. While she's constantly on the go, once she finally runs out of energy, she's more than happy to curl up for some cuddles.

Mira gets along well with other cats but appreciates having her own space. She's never met a dog, but her confident personality suggests she'd likely do well with a calm, cat-friendly canine companion. She'd also be a great fit for a home with respectful children.

If you're looking for a fun, fearless, affectionate cat with endless personality, Mira is ready to make every day more entertaining. Humane Society of Loudoun County's Adoption Policy
We want to make sure each adoption is successful and that each animal is adopted into a family that is the right fit for everyone. All our animals are fully vetted and are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. For our adoption process we will arrange a meet and greet between potential adopters and the animal after an application is submitted. We ask for 2 personal references, check to make sure current animals are vaccinated then we schedule a virtual interview, which is an interview to discuss how to integrate the new arrival into the household, food, equipment, etc. Our adoption fee for cats and kittens is $150. Our dog and puppy adoption fee is $300. Check out our upcoming events here: http://www.humaneloudoun.org/events1.aspx
