Mint's Story
What my friends at ACC say about me:
I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.
I have lived with cats in my previous home.
I am looking for a home with a patient person.

Mint is a shy cat who is still learning how to make friends with humans. He likes treats, slow blinks, treats, slowly building trust, treats, and also treats. Once he trusts a person (did we mention treats are the way to his heart?) he loves to have long conversations with them and give them slow blinks.

It might require a lot of patience and time (and treats) to win Mint's heart, but he'll reward the right person with a lifetime of affection and conversation.

A volunteer writes: When Mint makes a new friend, he wants to catch them up on everything. A lovely story teller, we might think that he's chit chatting to everyone in Adoptions, but this isn't quite the case. Mint likes to build trust with new friends and making new friends isn't always easy. It can, in fact, take some time. Snuggled up against the back of his cubby wall seemingly wishing to become part of it, Mint has a few notes on his condo from his favorite staff that help visitors know where to start. Mint came to us from a home with many other cats and while we don't have a lot of information about his life before, we know that he's not a fan of fast movements but he loves when someone takes the time to get to know him, which is when he feels most like talking and sharing his heart. Primary Color: Black Weight: 10lbs Age: 1yrs 7mths 1wks Animal has been Neutered
