Minnow's Story

Minnow is the kind of cat who sneaks into your heart slowly and then suddenly becomes your little shadow.

When she first came into foster care, she was shy and unsure of the world around her. She still gets a little startled by sudden movement sometimes and may scamper away for a moment, but her personality has blossomed so much in just a few weeks. Every day she gets braver, more social, and more affectionate.

Now Minnow spends most of her time hanging out with her foster family instead of hiding away. She loves attention and will meow at you repeatedly when she wants pets or company. She’s become incredibly cuddly and affectionate once she feels safe. She has slept curled up between her foster’s legs in bed, sat happily in laps while grooming herself, and absolutely melts for neck rubs and cuddles.

One of Minnow’s funniest and sweetest quirks is how much she loves licking people. She’ll happily lick your hands and, if you let her, your face too. It’s her funny little way of showing affection.

She’s also wonderful with other animals. Minnow is great with cats and completely unfazed by dogs. In fact, she’s climbed right on top of them before just to hang out.

Minnow would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands shy cats sometimes just need a little time to realize they are safe. Once she does, she becomes an incredibly loving, chatty, affectionate girl who truly wants to be close to her people.
