**Please fill out an application per instructions below NOT a Petfinder Inquiry if you want more information**

Meet Minnie!

Minnie is a very young adult at ~1yr and has plenty of energy but also enjoys cuddling up with her humans. She’s a big love bug with lots of life to live. Minnie is a beautiful tuxedo girl and has the cutest little white "O" around her mouth that gives her a distinctive and unique face that almost always looks like she's thinking about something. With slow introductions we think she could be great with calm cats and dogs that respect her, but she would also thrive being the only object of your affection.

Minnie is FIV+ which means she needs to be an indoor only cat. FIV+ cats can have weaker immune systems but typically live normal long health lives as long as they have regular vet visits. FIV is only transferred between cats through deep bite wounds so it is safe for Minnie to live with other friendly cats. We assume this sweet girl was dumped by a previous owner because she was FIV+, but that hasn’t stopped her one bit!

Key Considerations for FIV+ Cats

Lifespan & Health: FIV+ cats often have normal life expectancies and can remain asymptomatic for many years.

Transmission: FIV is not easily spread, typically requiring deep bite wounds (fighting), which is why they can safely live with spayed/neutered, non-infected cats if they get along.

Veterinary Care: Bi-annual check-ups are recommended to catch infections early.

Environment: A low-stress, indoor lifestyle is crucial to keep their immune system strong.

Misconceptions: FIV is not a death sentence; many vets now recommend against euthanasia for asymptomatic cats.

Please head to our website to fill out a free application to learn more about this cat and to start the adoption process.
