Minnie NM's Story

Meet Minnie, a petite little brown tabby girl with a sweet heart, who is estimated to be about 2 years old.

Minnie was quite shy when she first came into our care, and she didn't trust humans easily. However, with some time, patience, understanding, and love- she has grown to enjoy pets, treats, and toys from humans. She may look at you first with uncertainty, only to melt sweetly into your touch and purr while you give her head a nice scratch.

Minnie is FIV-positive. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) affects a cat's immune system, making them slightly more vulnerable to infections. However, with regular vet checkups, a healthy diet, and staying indoors, FIV-positive cats can live long, healthy lives just like their FIV-negative counterparts. It's important to note that FIV is primarily transmitted through deep bite wounds, so keeping Minnie indoors and away from aggressive interactions with other cats will help ensure her health and safety. FIV cats can also safely live with non-FIV cats if they get along and aren't at risk of causing injury to eachother.

Minnie has gotten along well with the other kitties in our FIV room, and could likely live with other cats just fine. Unsure about dogs.

Please give Minnie a chance to show you how sweet she is underneath her slightly shy and timid exterior!
