Minnie May's Story

At only about 8 months old, Minnie May has already endured more than any kitten should. She was found outside in North Philadelphia, painfully thin, terrified of people, and simply trying to survive. Her little body tells the story of the life she's lived-scabs on her nose, a long scar running from her shoulders to her tail, and countless signs of hardship.

When Minnie May came into our care, we discovered something incredible. Beneath the fear was a sweet, affectionate kitten who had simply never felt safe before. Once she realized she was no longer fighting to survive, she began making biscuits, rolling over for attention, and soaking up every bit of love she could get. She's also a very talkative girl and responds with chirping any time you talk to her.

She is still a kitten, so she has a lot of energy and loves playing. Were still in process of figuring out if she's okay to be with other cats, but we know, for sure, she's obsessed with people.

Ready to make Minnie May part of your family forever? Fishtails Animal Rescue strives to provide you with a healthy pet. However, the stress of changing environments can lower an animal’s immunity to fight disease and the pet could harbor an infection without displaying symptoms. We cannot guarantee the health of any animal. Any pet adopted out by Fishtails Animal Rescue will be up-to-date on vaccines (unless medically contraindicated), microchipped, spayed/neutered (if age appropriate*), and given a dose of flea/heartworm preventative. The microchip must be registered by the adopter to their new information. *If the animal is not spayed/neutered at time of adoption, the adopter will do so within 2 months after the animal reaches 6 months of age. In addition, if pet is under 16 weeks at the time of adoption, adopter is responsible for boosters for vaccines. Fishtails Animal Rescues is located in Philadelphia, PA and accepts applications within the tri-state area. The first step in our adoption process is to complete the adoption application found on our website. Applications are reviewed within 72 hours of submissions.
