Minerva and Pomfrey (bonded sisters)

A story of two young babies that fought to live. <br/><br/>Sisters Minerva and Pomfrey were strays trapped in Cortland from under a dumpster with their 3 siblings. Shortly after, the litter became very ill and were rushed to the vet by one of our volunteers who rescued/fostered them. <br/>They tested positive for panleukopenia (feline distemper), which is very fatal. <br/><br/>The foster got in touch with a woman who has dedicated her life to cat rescue. She shared a protocol to give the kittens a chance at survival. Unfortunately, 3 siblings passed away, but these two fought with all they had and survived. <br/><br/>Minerva, short haired gray and white, is very confident and outgoing once she gets to know you. She has a BIG purr box that seems to always be running. <br/><br/>Pomfrey, long haired black and white, is a little more reserved, but loves to be held like a baby and have her tummy rubbed. <br/><br/>They are around 14 weeks old as of mid-September 2026. They are healthy now and available for adoption TOGETHER. <br/><br/>They have been spayed, tested negative for FIV, microchipped and are up to date on vaccines.<br/><br/>Since they're currently in a foster placement, please complete an application. You can fill in the PDF online and email a picture. The other option is complete a paper copy to scan or email a picture to info@cnysnap.org. Once approved, we can set up a time to meet. A similar virus causes parvovirus disease in dogs. Vaccines help protect cats against this. Unfortunately this virus is another risk of strays/owned cats that don’t get life saving vaccines.
