Mimi's Story

**Note: PetFinder sometimes has issues with delivering inquiries. If you do not hear from us within a couple days, please email us directly at stina.larson@gmail.com or email directly regardless.**

Mimi is a gorgeous girl, estimated to be around 5–7 years old. With her soft coat and expressive face, she’s as lovely on the outside as she is on the inside.

Mimi is the kind of cat who just wants to be with her people. She thrives on quality time with her humans and is happiest curled up on a lap, soaking up the love. Her foster mom describes her as a perfect angel when she is with her— calm, affectionate, and deeply loyal. Don't let her chill demeanor fool you, though — she still has a playful side and enjoys batting at toys and using her favorite scratcher. She's also surprisingly smart and will even follow basic commands!

Mimi does have some special considerations. She has been dealing with itchiness that leads her to occasionally pull out patches of her fur. While she has seen a vet and undergone allergy testing, no clear cause has been identified. Allergy friendly / grain free food might help, but it may be stress-related, as she has shown that she does not do well with other cats. In her foster home, Mimi has been uncomfortable around them and has reacted by chasing and occasionally marking. Because of this, she will need to be the only cat in her new home.

She gets along great with dogs, so a cat-friendly canine companion is totally fine.
Mimi would do well as an indoor-only cat but may also enjoy access to a safe, outdoor space where she can relax in the sunshine. A quieter home where she can feel safe, secure, and loved will help her truly thrive.

At the end of the day, Mimi is a deeply loving, loyal companion who just wants a home of her own—a place where she can feel comfortable, unwind, and be cherished. With the right environment and a patient, understanding adopter, Mimi will reward you with endless affection and companionship.

If you’re looking for a devoted lap cat with a gentle soul, Mimi might be your perfect match.

The adoption fee is $65.

Mimi is around 5-7 years old. She has been spayed and vaccinated. She is litter box trained. She may require special allergy friendly food.

We are located in the Columbia Gorge area in OR/WA (this is where the kittens are fostered), but we are able to transport to those locations where we advertise (i.e. Seattle and Portland area). There isn't an additional fee for transport, but any additional donation to help support what our little group does is appreciated.

When responding to this ad, please provide a phone number where you can be reached. Having an alternate means to contact people is helpful, since our email can end up in SPAM. Please also provide some information on your home. For example: Do you have small children? How many? Is your home life quiet or busy? Do you live in a rural or urban area? Do you have any other pets? What else should we know?

All of the kittens at Pawsitivity are fostered in homes where they are cared for and socialized. We don't keep kittens in cages (except maybe at bedtime). Our foster parents are able to learn each of their personalities this way and determine the best home for them. We also make sure all kittens are healthy before placing them in their forever home.

For additional information on our group and what we do, please check out our website: www.pawsitivity.info

Pawsitivity's Adoption Policy
Adopter understands that kittens/cats available for adoption have been rescued from a variety of situations, including neglect/abuse, as such could be subject to health or behavioral problems not known at this time. Adopter agrees and accepts the kitten/cat with this understanding. The kittens/cats are healthy and up to date on all vaccines and medical treatments which were necessary for the health of the kitten/cat. Rescuer/foster makes no further guarantees or warranties of any kind for health of the kitten/cat and that the adopter assumes all risks at/from the time of initial possession and following. Adopter understands full responsibility for the health and welfare of the adopted kitten/cat for the duration of the natural life. The responsibility includes all costs for veterinary and health needs, housing and shelter, food and any other expenses related to care and welfare. Adopter agrees to contact a veterinarian to follow up vaccines, if needed. Adopter understands that declawing cats is a cruel procedure and will not do that to the adopted kitten/cat. Adopter agrees to pay the adoption fee/donation. We do not have an adoption application, but we do want to speak to the potential adopter and ask a few questions in order to make sure we find the right fit for our cats/kittens.
