Milo's Story

Milo, an adorable 2-year-old tuxedo boy has endured more in his short life than any cat should experience in a lifetime. As a kitten, he was repeatedly harassed by the family dog, who chased him, bit him and pulled his tail while the owner laughed. Then one of her kids poured glitter glue into his ears. The damage to his delicate inner ears left him mostly deaf. While his ears look perfectly normal now, they just don't work very well.

Thankfully, a compassionate neighbor stepped in and convinced Milo's owners to let her take him. While she gave him the safety and kindness he desperately needed, her resident cats were not pleased by the newcomer. They relentlessly bullied Milo whenever he ventured out of his room, teaching him that other cats were something to fear rather than trust. Wanting a better life for poor little Milo, his rescuer contacted us to help find him the loving furever home he so deserves.

Having been bullied, Milo unfortunately believes the best defense is a good offense when it comes to other animals. He is hissy and not shy about showing his distaste. But take the other animals out of the equation, and you see an entirely different cat.

With people, Milo is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and eager to be part of the action. He loves to get pets, cuddle, play, and spend time with his humans. Whether it's chasing a laser light, batting around toy mice, springs, or balls, this playful fellow is always ready for fun. Although he is mostly deaf because of his earlier injuries, the glitter glue is completely gone from his ears, and he doesn't let his hearing loss slow him down. He does talk a little loud since he can't hear himself.

Milo may eventually learn to accept another cat with an extremely slow, careful introduction, but his ideal home would be one where he can be the only pet. After everything he's been through, he deserves a home where he can finally relax, feel secure, and soak up all the love for himself.

Milo is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a huge heart and you're ready to give this resilient boy the happy ending he deserves, Milo may be the perfect match.

If you would like to meet this special furball, please fill out the Online Pre-Adoption Questionnaire on our website, https://www.catmanducc.org/copy-of-adoption. Then come by Catmandu Friday through Sunday for a meet and greet and to talk with an adoption specialist. Adoption hours are 11 am to 4 pm. Plan to arrive no later than 3 pm so you have time to spend with the cats before adoptions close at 4. Please bring a carrier in case you find your purrfect friend.
Renters must bring a copy of their lease showing they are allowed to have a cat.
For more information on Catmandu, see bio.link/momcat.
