MILO's Story

Milo just turned ONE... and he's been waiting over 6 months for his forever home. This handsome house panther truly cannot understand how he's still in foster care. Milo LOVES wet food and treats. Like... deeply committed to them. He must have a killer metabolism because despite his enthusiasm for snacks, he is not the least bit chunky. He's a toy mouse enthusiast - occasionally relocating them to the water fountain. Is he trying to drown them? Conducting science experiments? We may never know. Milo is often found doing zoomies up and down the stairs or sprinting from one end of the house to the other like he's training for the Cat Olympics. ‍ And then? He crashes just as hard. Play hard. Nap hard. Balance. He would do best in a home with another young, playful cat. He's not an alpha... but he's not overly submissive either. He's that perfect middle-ground personality who would thrive with a similar brother or sister. Dogs didn't phase him when he was found wandering the neighborhood, so he may do just fine with respectful canine roommates. He is sleek. He is stunning. Sparkle Cat Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

Interested in adopting a Sparkle kitty? Apply via our website at www.sparklecatrescue.org Once your application has been approved, we will contact you to set up a meet 'n' greet. -All of our kitties are in foster homes. We do not have a facility for the public to meet our kitties. -All adoptions are by appointment only, and only with an approved application. Kittens are not able to leave foster care and to their adoptive homes until minimum 11-12 weeks of age and all kittens regardless of age must have their 2nd FVRCP kitten booster before adoption. ***Adoption fees are non-refundable.*** ***Please note we ALWAYS take our cats back if they do not work out in the home or if unforeseen circumstances happen in the future. Cats must come back to us and NOT be rehomed to family/friends/strangers*** *** We strive to find lifetime commitments for our kitties, who have been loved and well-taken care of by their foster families.*** -The adoption fee includes a combo test for FIV and FeLV, deworming while in foster care, flea preventative applied while in foster care, FVRCP boosters (3) for kittens, or adult FVRCP vaccination up to date, rabies vaccination, spay/neuter, microchip (we use Petstablished mini chip) As part of the adoption process, Sparkle Cat Rescue requires: -A complete adoption application submitted via our website. -We do not do same-day adoptions. Applications take 24-72 hours to process depending on accuracy of application. Applications received Friday night to Sunday night may not be screened until Monday. -Adopters MUST be 21 years of age. -Kittens and kids: children living in the home or visiting (ie shared custody) must be over 5 years old to adopt a kitten under 6 months old. No exceptions. -Landlord approval for all applicants leasing or renting their home. We do check. -All adopters must sign a contract agreeing they will not declaw their cat or physically alter their cats in any way. - All cats must be INDOOR cats only. - You must be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet for the entire life of that animal. - All current pets (cats, dogs) must be current on their vaccinations. -Any animals not owned by you living in or outside the home (i.e. a roommate or family member pet) must be current on vaccines and spay/neutered. - Adopter must own a cat carrier. All cats must be transported in a pet carrier to vet visits for their safety. -Adoption fees may be paid via cash, check or via our website through the 'donate' tab AFTER approval and meet N greet if foster determines it is a good fit for cat/kitten.
